Reversed Rainstorm

The first and only collab Dennis and I have ever done together. 

(I’m going through old writing and stumbled upon this, and we thought we’d share)

You would think, being a writing couple, that we would have more than one collab.

A long time ago, I could have seen A story just like this play out in deed,
Before I met my Juliet, this life was leaning on borrowed time ….

In those moments our minds held thoughts treasured, in those moments our lips found forever, in those moments our fingers tethered, in those moments our hearts beat together.

In those moments before each other, i sunk devils venom into hardened veins and you cut goodbye letters in pale white skin

We were ready to leave everyone… leave everything. You had your way to escape, finding places to run when the world stopped spinning. I had my way to hide, my way to feel numb, when the world fucked me over again and again.

In those moments of our suicide somehow death opened our eyes, in the moments of mind wrapping, lip finding, fingers threaded for all of time, we found reason not to die.

We didn’t need to run or hide from the world anymore. You became my world, as I became yours. 

In the darkest minutes of our loneliest moments, we found each other writing suicide notes we never meant to finish.

We created a universe of our own. We found home in each other. 

Being close to the end, brought us a new beginning.
